There is a serious discussion in a random forum on the pizza thing.
It was supposed to be doomsday yesterday. A large number of scientists gathered along the Franco Swiss border to begin a series of tests to understand the nature of the physical universe. Results would reveal information on Big Bang (not porn) Theory, Dark Matter (again not porn) and possibly uncover several mysterious happenings in space.
So how are they going to do this. They have built the biggest ever man made machine, the Large Hadron Collider. It is seriously big. May be not for the Americans who always think that their cars are the biggest man made machines on the earth.
While this is an engineering marvel, do we really need this experiment to know where we came from ? That too by spending €6 billion fully knowing that we may not find the answer at all ? Man quest for knowledge ku oru alave illaya ?
